Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how WP Precision Systems collects, uses, stores, and protects information for WatPhasa: Speak Thai Daily ("WatPhasa", "the app", "we", "us", or "our"). WatPhasa helps users practice Thai phrases with audio, voice recording, favorites, progress tracking, and practice scores.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the app, we may collect or store:
- Email address for account login.
- User ID generated by Supabase.
- Speaking mode preference.
- Favorite phrases.
- Practice progress.
- Practice scores.
- Practice timestamps.
- Subscription status and purchase entitlement status.
We do not store or see user passwords. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to provide account login, save your app preferences, sync favorites and practice progress, show practice scores, support account deletion, maintain app security, and improve the reliability of the app.
4. Account Information
If you create an account, Supabase Auth handles authentication. Your account may include your email address and a Supabase-generated user ID. Your profile may also store your selected speaking mode so the app can personalize practice phrases and audio style.
5. Practice Data
WatPhasa may store favorite phrase IDs, practiced phrase IDs, last-practiced timestamps, best scores, individual practice scores, and rhythm scores. This data is used to show your progress and help you continue practicing across sessions.
6. Voice Recordings
Voice recording is used to let users practice speaking, replay their own voice, and check practice scores. When you request a practice score, the app uploads the recording to our secure scoring backend. The backend converts the audio into a supported format and sends it to Azure Speech Pronunciation Assessment using Thai locale th-TH.
Voice recordings are used for scoring during practice and are not permanently stored in our app database. Temporary files on the scoring backend are intended to be removed after processing. Azure may process the audio and recognized speech text according to Microsoft Azure service terms and privacy practices.
7. Data Storage and Service Providers
Supabase is used for authentication and database storage. Azure Speech is used for practice scoring. RevenueCat may be used to read purchase entitlement status. Google Play processes Android in-app purchases and subscriptions. These service providers process data according to their own terms and privacy policies.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell user personal data. We do not share personal data for advertising. We share data only with service providers needed to operate the app, such as Supabase, Azure Speech, RevenueCat, and Google Play, or if required by law.
9. Data Retention
We keep account and practice data while your account is active or as needed to operate the app. We may retain limited records if required for legal, security, fraud prevention, or payment compliance reasons.
10. Account Deletion and Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and app data inside the app from Account > Delete account. You can also request deletion through our online account deletion page or by emailing contact@wpprecisionsystems.co.uk using the email address linked to your WatPhasa account.
When your account is deleted, we aim to delete your account profile, favorites, practice progress, practice scores, and subscription status stored in the app database, if applicable. Some records may be retained if required for legal, security, fraud prevention, or payment compliance. Purchase history managed by Google Play may be retained by Google according to Google Play policies.
11. Children's Privacy
WatPhasa is not directed to children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes that a child under 13 provided personal data, please contact us at contact@wpprecisionsystems.co.uk and we will take reasonable steps to delete the information.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect app data. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and make the new policy available through the app or legal pages.
